NAVFAC Washington Buildings XX & XX Design Build Renovation of Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC) Third Floor Archive at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC
Meltech completed this project for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command – Washington (NAVFAC – Washington). This project was for the design build renovation and repair the existing historic buildings XX (14,194 SF) and building XX (34,224 SF) for the Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC) archive to provide proper storage of 15,000 SF cubic feet of Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC) archival materials that have been classified as U.S. Top Secret and NATO Secret. The project included mechanical work including temporary cooling, structural framing on a top for the mechanical equipment, abatement of hazardous material, electrical work, interior finishes, sensitive work, roof repairs and scaffolding and replacement of all perimeter windows and exterior doors.
